The Negotiator is a 1998 American action thriller film directed by Kevin Hooks and starring Samuel L. Jackson and David Morse. As the story begins, Danny Roman (Samuel L. Jackson), a highly respected hostage negotiator, finds himself at odds with the law after being accused of murdering his partner, Chris Sabian (Laurence Mason).
